The Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) Nigeria has been elevated to serve as the regional headquarters for West Africa sub-region. This was announced on Thursday, January 22, in a statement by Dr. Sosthene J. Maletoungou, Divisional Director of ACSI Africa.

According to the statement, the decision followed extensive deliberations, consultations, and rigorous evaluations and it signals a new chapter of expanded influence and mission-driven growth for the organization.

ACSI, a global non-profit entity, operates across multiple divisions including Africa, South Asia, Latin America, Europe, North America, East Asia, and the Asia Pacifics.

At its core, the organization is dedicated to bolstering Christian schools, equipping educators, and nurturing the next generation to become principled adults and societal leaders.

Central to this transition is the appointment of Pastor Segun Oludipe, the current National Director of ACSI Nigeria, as the Regional Director for Coastal West Africa.

Oludipe will fulfill this role in a bi-vocational capacity, maintaining his leadership over Nigeria while steering regional initiatives.

Reacting to the development, Pastor Oludipe expressed profound gratitude for the opportunity. “I start by appreciating God for the privilege of being found fit to take on bigger assignments,” he said, crediting divine favour for his selection. He also lauded his ACSI Nigeria team for their collaborative efforts under his guidance, which have left an indelible mark on countless primary and secondary school students nationwide.
Speaking on his vision for the new role, Oludipe emphasized alignment with ACSI’s global objectives, focusing on transformative outreach to youths. “I see this new position as a challenge. I know that God doesn’t call the qualified; however, he qualifies the called,” he remarked.

“Everything I will ever embark on will be within the purview of the Africa 2050 vision.”
Oludipe pledged close collaboration with Dr. Maletoungou to amplify impact across the continent. “I will equally work with the Divisional Director of ACSI Africa to ensure that many more children are reached and impacted positively for the holistic growth and development of our continent,” he added. Acknowledging Africa’s unique challenges, he remained optimistic: “Africa is great. Yes, we may have peculiar challenges, notwithstanding, when people take it upon themselves to do the work, things become fixed. Therefore, I can assure you, especially with the help of God, that I am committed to the aforementioned.”

This elevation positions ACSI Nigeria as a pivotal hub for advancing Christian education in West Africa, promising enhanced resources and programs tailored to regional needs. As Oludipe steps into his dual roles, stakeholders anticipate a surge in initiatives aimed at fostering resilient, faith-rooted leaders for tomorrow’s Africa.
