    The Akwa Ibom State government, has picked November 29, 2024 for the burial of First Lady, Pastor Mrs. Patience Eno, wife of the governor of the state, Pastor Umo Eno.

    According to a statement dated November 7, 2024 and signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah, who doubles as Chairman, Funeral Central Planning Committee, the funeral rites will commence with Opening of Mourning House on November 20, 2024.

    November 20 ā€“ 26 is for Condolence Visits while Night of Worship and Tributes will be held on 22nd November, 2024 at the International Christian Worship Centre ā€“ Uyo

    There will be a Service of Songs on November 27 at the Umo Eno Country Home, Ikot Ekpene Udo, Nsit Ubium LGA.

    The remains of the late First Lady will be interred after a Funeral Service on November 29 at the same venue.

    Pastor Mrs Patience Umo Eno died on September 26, 2024, after a brief illness.

    FUNERAL ANNOUNCEMENT OF HER EXCELLENCY, PASTOR (MRS) PATIENCE UMO ENO

    Following the painful demise of the First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor (Mrs) Patience Umo Eno on September 26, 2024, the bereaved family in consultation with the State Government, has approved the announcement of the funeral events as follows:

    20th November, 2024 : Opening of Mourning House

    20th ā€“ 26th November, 2024 : Condolence Visits

    22nd November, 2024 : Night of Worship and Tributes at the International Christian Worship Centre ā€“ Uyo

    Time: 6PM

    27th November, 2024: Service of Songs at Country Home, Ikot Ekpene Udo, Nsit Ubium LGA.

    Time: 6PM- 8PM

    29th November, 2024 : Funeral Service at Country Home, Ikot Ekpene Udo, Nsit Ubium LGA.

    Time: 10Am

    The family is deeply grateful for the overwhelming love and support from people and organizations across the country and beyond, and further requests continued prayers, understanding and solidarity in the days leading up to the funeral.
