APC: We’re Ready For 2027 elections

Ahead of the National Convention of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) scheduled for Friday and Saturday in Buja, the party has expressed confidence about its readiness for the 2027 general elections.

Chairman of the Convention Central Coordination Committee, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari, told journalists at the Eagles Square on Monday in Abuja, that the party is fully prepared and strategically positioned for victory in 2027.

He commended party members for their mobilisation efforts, noting that the APC’s growing momentum signals readiness not just for the convention, but for the 2027 polls.

“We are ready for the convention, and from what you can see, the party is united and prepared. Challenges are part of life, but they do not deter our focus,” he said.

Co-chairman of the committee and former Cross River State governor, Ben Ayade, said the APC has demonstrated capacity, organisation, and discipline in the lead-up to the convention.

According to him, the party is repositioning itself with renewed energy to deliver on its agenda and consolidate governance.

He added that the convention would further reinforce the party’s commitment to national development and showcase its readiness to retain power in 2027.

Also speaking, Senator Uche Ekunife, secretary of the convention environmental and sanitation sub-committees, expressed strong optimism about the party’s chances in 2027, declaring that the APC is not only prepared for its convention but also determined to secure a landslide victory in the next general election.

Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, also said the convention offers an opportunity for the party to present its achievements and reconnect with Nigerians ahead of the polls.

Other party leaders also reiterated support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, expressing confidence that the president would secure re-election in 2027.
