    Borno Police Command Loses 2 ACPs In 2 Days

    The Borno State Police Command has lost two Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) who died barely 24 hours apart.

    In a statement issued on Monday, and seen on FB page on the Command, the spokesperson, ASP Nahum Kenneth Daso, said the officers died between February 20 and 21, 2026.

    “The command lost ACP Danjuma Muhammed (AC X-Squad), who passed away on 20/02/2026 following a protracted illness, and ACP Abubakar A. Balteh, who died in a fatal motor accident on 21/02/2026,” he said.

    Daso added that a tribute was observed during Monday’s briefing attended by members of the management team, Heads of Departments (HODs) and Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) in Maiduguri.

    BORNO COMMAND MOURNS DEATH OF TWO ACPs; CP NAZIRU ABDULMAJID CONDOLES WITH FAMILIES

    In the spirit of mourning, the Borno State Police Command observed a one-minute silence in honour of two Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) who recently passed away. The tribute was held today, 23/02/2026, during the Monday briefing with the Management Team, Heads of Departments (HODs), and Divisional Police Officers (DPOs).

    1. The Command lost ACP Danjuma Muhammed (AC X-Squad), who passed away on 20/02/2026 following a protracted illness, and ACP Abubakar A. Balteh, who was involved in a fatal motor accident on 21/02/2026.
    2. The Commissioner of Police, CP Naziru Abdulmajid psc, extended his heartfelt condolences to the families, colleagues, and loved ones of the deceased officers, describing their demise as a great loss to the Command and the Nigeria Police Force at large.
    3. The CP also appreciates the messages, prayers, and calls received from members of the public who have expressed their sympathy. He calls on both Christians and Muslims to remain prayerful during the Lenten and Ramadan periods, while continuing to uphold peace and unity across the State.

    May Almighty Allah forgive their shortcomings and grant them Aljannatul Firdaus.
