The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the September governorship election in Edo State, Dr Asue Ighodalo, has sent warm Easter greetings to Edolites, urging them to promote the values of love, forgiveness and compassion, which he said, represent the main essence of Easter.
“Let us reflect on the very essence of the moment, which is unfeigned love and total forgiveness made possible through immeasurable sacrifice. It is a great example that the Saviour himself has set for us. Therefore, in the spirit of the season, I urge you all to demonstrate love in practical terms to all and sundry. Forgive and pray for anyone who has offended you.
“I urge you to endeavour by all means to promote the values of love, forgiveness and compassion which are essential for social cohesion and harmony in our societies. Let’s make people smile; let’s make people happy, not only now but always.
“God bless you all, God bless Edo State, and God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he said.
