As the People’s Democratic Party primaries draw near, it is crucial for delegates to make an informed choice for the party’s ticket. We are all aware of the fact that the field is packed full of many wannabe politicians whose hope of picking the sole PDP ticket does not lie in their popularity or their attractive agenda for the people but in the confidence they have in depth of their pockets.
I want to use this medium to alert all Edolites and people who have the good interest of our dear state at heart to be very circumspect and wary of these set of aspirants who think that delegates are commercial articles that can be bought off the shelf and pronto the ticket will be theirs to pick up as one picks a motionless snail on the ground.
Instead of supporting another person just because he is an ally of Governor Godwin Obaseki, consider embracing Rt Hon Philip Shaibu, the 100% homeboy and current Deputy Governor of the state.
Here are five compelling reasons that must inform your choice of Shaibu:
Integrity and Transparency
Philip Shaibu has demonstrated a commitment to integrity and transparency in governance, which are essential qualities for effective leadership.
This stands in contrast to the manifest transactional politics that is allegedly being carried on now by some aspirants who believe that what money cannot buy doesn’t exist.
