Nigeria’s Flying Eagles will face Côte d’Ivoire in the final of the 2025 WAFU B U-20 Championship on Wednesday in Prampram.

The Ivorian Baby Elephants booked their place in the final after coming from behind to defeat hosts Ghana 2–1 in the second semi-final played on Sunday night. Benjamin Tsivanjo had given the Black Satellites an early lead before Côte d’Ivoire rallied to secure victory in the keenly contested encounter.

Earlier in the day, defending champions Nigeria edged Niger Republic 4–3 on penalties to advance to the final. The semi-final, held at the Cape Coast Stadium, ended goalless after regulation time as both sides failed to convert their chances in a tense affair.
With no provision for extra time in the tournament, the match was decided via a penalty shootout, where the Flying Eagles held their nerve to convert four of their kicks and overcome a determined Nigerien side.

The final promises to be a thrilling contest, with both teams vying not only for the regional title but also for qualification to the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
