This comes just days after launching the viral #StayWithUsOsimhen campaign on social media, as supporters took their plea to the stands at Rams Park, unveiling a giant banner before kickoff.
The message from the supporters was clear: Osimhen’s future at Galatasaray should be driven by his own desire, not obligation.
“Stay with us Osi! Not because you have to but because you want to,” the banner from Galatasaray supporters stated.
The timing was perfect, Osimhen responded on the pitch by scoring the opener, his 36th goal of the season, as Galatasaray cruised to a 3-0 win and secured their record 25th Super Lig title, earning them the coveted fifth star as Turkey’s most decorated club.
The banner and the striker’s performance became the talk of social media, with one fan capturing the mood: “For the first time in their history, Galatasaray fans displayed a huge banner trying to convince a player to stay with them. Victor Osimhen is generational.”
The club and its fans hope the emotional connection and ongoing celebrations-including a planned million-fan party-will persuade the Super Eagles striker to remain in Istanbul, despite interest from top clubs in England and Italy.
