Ideato Rebirth Movement, a political group focused on redefining the concept of political representation in Ideato nation, has expressed gratitude to the governor of Imo State for his numerous developmental projects in Imo State over the past six years of what they described as “people-oriented, humane, courageous and creative administration”.
Speaking to newsmen after a strategy meeting convened in Akokwa, Ideato North LGA, the acting spokesman of the group, Comrade Chijioke Emenike, described Governor Uzodimma’s six years in office as ” specially beneficial to Ideato nation.”
“Ideato nation has not had it better, because it feels, more than at any other time before, that our own son is the governor of Imo State. His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON, has taken Ideato as his home, because he has been intentional about resolving some of our most pressing infrastructural, political and economic problems, over the last six years of his administration. “
He outlined some of the benefits that Ideato nation has derived from Governor Uzodimma’s administration to include; the reconstruction of the Orlu-Mgbee – Akokwa road, the Dikenafai-Okwelle road, the reconstruction and rehabilitation of strategic roads in some communities in the two LGAs. He also praised the governor for the establishment of a university in Ideato.
“We are especially grateful to the governor, not just for the recovery of the Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University, Ideato, but also for his consistent and conscious investments towards making the university one of the best in the country. KOMU has become the fastest growing university in the country, and has in fact outpaced other universities established at the same time as it, by many miles. It has achieved unprecedented programme accreditation across critical professional fields, thanks to the governor’s conscious efforts at making it one of the best in the country. “
The group reaffirmed the loyalty and unwavering political support of Ideato people to the governor’s political agenda.
“In Ideato, we do not have any other political leader outside His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON, because no political leader has taken us into confidence as much as he has done. Our group, the Ideato Rebirth Movement, is therefore determined to mobilise all Ideato sons and daughters to support the governor’s political agenda till the end.”
