The Nigeria Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. Kayode Egbetokun, has bestowed a special recognition award on CSP Gladys Enoho Imegu Esq, based on the convictions and judgements secured for the police in highly controversial and contentious legal battles.
The commendation and the award night colourful event was held on June 4,2025 at the Police Resource Center, Jabi, Abuja and the award comes under the IGP special recognition award.
Imegu expressed great gratitude to God and beamed with smiles when the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, presented the award to her on behalf of President Bola Tinubu.
In a brief chat with The Urhobo Voice, Imegu eulogised the IGP for the special recognition award, adding that she will continue to do her best to enhance the image and pride of the police.
She said:” This special recognition award is highly appreciated as it means a lot to me. I have never relented in my solid pursuit over the numerous controversial and contentious legal cases for the police. Today, I am honoured because it has ended in praises “.
” I am proud to be an Urhobo and I don’t know have any regrets at all to be a police officer. The IGP appreciated my dint of hardwork, commitment and passion for the police and it is a delight to me. I am grateful to God that my good deeds have not gone unnoticed”.
