Nigerian actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu is dead.
Several sources confirmed that Mr Ibu died at a highbrow hospital in Abuja while receiving treatment.
The veteran Nollywood actor revealed last October he was suffering from an ailment that threatened to amputate one of his legs.
Mr Ibu disclosed he was struck by the problem while on a movie set with other Nollywood actors and actresses.
In November 2023, he eventually underwent the amputation.
His family said at the time that the amputation was done to keep him alive and increase his chances of survival.
In December 2023, Mr Ibu underwent another amputation on the same leg amputated before. Since then, he had been on the sickbed.
His health subsequently worsened when it was reported that he could hardly talk again.
Mr Ibu’s is coming barely a day after another Nollywood actor, Tolani Quadri Oyebamiji, popularly known as Sisi Quadri, who has since been buried.
