The Management and Board of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has promised to unleash innovative development strategies in pursuit of a better 2024 with focus on projects that will immensely benefit the Niger Delta region.
This was made public on Sunday in a Christmas message by NDDC’s Managing Director, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku.
The MD said the remembrance of Christ’s birth serves as a poignant reminder to embody the virtues he exemplifies.
Excerpts from Ogbuku’s statement reads: “The Board and Management of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, join me in expressing our sincerest gratitude to our dedicated stakeholders. Your cooperation has been pivotal for maintaining peace within the region. It is that very peace which lays the foundation for continuous growth and sustainable community development.
“This period is not just one of reverence and reflection but equally one of anticipation and assurance, as we support the endeavors of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. His unwavering support steers us towards the furtherance of progress for our cherished Niger Delta.
“With 2024 on the horizon, let it not be merely another year on the calendar but a landmark of evolution and progress for the Niger Delta. Under the vigilant stewardship of the NDDC, we expect to see the fruits of labor through numerous development projects reaching their completion for the benefit of our people.
“It is the NDDC’s pledge to chart a transformative course for the region with fresh and innovative development strategies. As we revel in the spirit of Yuletide, let the act of prayer strengthen us, binding us to the divine grace that fosters national unity, peace, and prosperity.
“In emulating the profound tenets Jesus Christ laid down – tolerance, patience, kindness, compassion, and an unwavering love for all – we not only honor this season but also contribute to a benevolent and harmonious society.
“As the CEO/Managing Director of NDDC, I implore all Nigerians to reaffirm their commitment to serving humanity with an uplifted spirit. Let us step into the New Year rejuvenated, with hopes of seeing a vibrant and thriving Niger Delta Region.
“Finally, as the holiday cheers fill the air, I extend my warm wishes to all Niger Deltans and Nigerians for a Merry Christmas and a New Year brimming with happiness and prosperity.
“May our collective aspirations for the Niger Delta be met with success, and may our strides towards development resonate with the goodwill of the season.”
