Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the departure of head coach Igor Tudor, bringing an end to his brief and challenging stint at the club.
The 47-year-old leaves by mutual consent with immediate effect, just 44 days after taking charge of the North London side. His exit follows a run of poor results that has deepened the club’s relegation concerns in the English Premier League (EPL).
Tudor, who was appointed on February 14 as successor to Thomas Frank, struggled to steady the team, recording only one win in seven matches across all competitions.
Notably, he failed to secure a single league victory during his tenure, with Tottenham slipping to 17th position—just one spot above the relegation zone.
The club’s alarming dip in form has seen them endure a 13-match winless run in the EPL, leaving them precariously placed with 30 points from 31 games, only a point clear of 18th-placed West Ham United.
In an official statement released on Sunday, Tottenham also confirmed the departures of goalkeeping coach Tomislav Rogic and physical coach Riccardo Ragnacci, who both served under Tudor.
“We can confirm that it has been mutually agreed for Head Coach Igor Tudor to leave the Club with immediate effect.
“Tomislav Rogic and Riccardo Ragnacci have also left their respective roles of Goalkeeping Coach and Physical Coach.
“We thank Igor, Tomislav and Riccardo for their efforts during the past six weeks, in which they worked tirelessly.
“We also acknowledge the bereavement that Igor has recently suffered and send our support to him and his family at this difficult time,” the statement read.
The club, however, did not disclose who will take charge of the team on an interim or permanent basis.
With seven matches remaining this season, Tottenham face a tense battle to retain their top-flight status, having last secured promotion to the Premier League in 1978.
