BENIN CITY — The Uchangeable God of Mercy and Grace (UGMG) Foundation, led by its founder and Chief Executive Officer, Lady Eseosa Benedict, on Saturday extended love and support to 45 widows in Benin City ahead of this year’s Christmas celebration.
The outreach, which marked the sixth edition of the Foundation’s annual charity programme, featured the distribution of food items, cash gifts, and free medical screening for beneficiaries. The initiative, themed “Praising God’s Grace in Our Lives,” focused on supporting widows and restoring their sense of belonging in society.
Speaking during the event, Lady Eseosa explained that the Foundation’s activities are inspired by a divine calling to serve humanity, particularly widows, children, and the less privileged.

“The Foundation has been running for six years now, and our main focus is to reach out to widows and the less privileged in their homes. My inspiration is born out of a passion to help people see the love of God, even in difficult times,” she said.
Lady Eseosa noted that this year’s edition was designed to prepare the widows for the festive season by providing essential support and encouraging them to celebrate with joy.
“If God wants to bless someone, He uses people as His vessels. I’m simply positioning myself as one of those vessels,” she added.

She also highlighted some of the Foundation’s past humanitarian efforts, including visits to Edo Specialist Hospital, clinics, and sickle cell centres, where the Foundation settled medical bills and donated drugs. It has also organised skill acquisition programmes for widows to promote self-reliance.
According to her, the UGMG Foundation is solely funded through her personal resources without any governmental or external sponsorship. She urged individuals, corporate bodies, and government agencies to partner in supporting the less privileged, noting that collective compassion can make society a better place.
Pastor John-Praise Amuta, Senior Pastor of God’s Temple of Worship, led participants in a session of praise, worship, and prayers. He commended Lady Eseosa’s dedication to humanitarian service, describing her as “a vessel of hope to widows, orphans, and the downtrodden.”
One of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Esther Irabor, expressed gratitude on behalf of the widows for the support, prayers, and health checks provided during the event.

“We had our blood pressure and sugar levels checked, received medical advice, prayed, worshipped, and were blessed with food and cash gifts. We truly appreciate Lady Eseosa for her kindness,” she said.
Also speaking, Josephine Irabor, Health and Safety Officer at the Edo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), praised the event’s health awareness component, noting that it would help participants make better nutrition and lifestyle choices to maintain wellness and reduce medical expenses.
Another attendee, Eghosa Imafidon, who has documented all six editions of the outreach, commended the Foundation’s consistency and genuine impact on widows and the less privileged.
