Former Niger Delta militant leader, Mujahid Asari-Dokubo, has sensationally alleged that President Bola Tinubu is supporting his Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, (FCT), Nyesom Wike, to destabilise the peace in Rivers State and remove the incumbent Governor, Sim Fubara. He vowed that should the governor be removed as a result of Wike’s activities, thinking that nothing will happen, “something will happen”.
Asari-Dokubo said he was disappointed in Tinubu for allowing Wike to “run amok, including procuring court judgment” to remove the state governor, Sim Fubara.
The ex-President of the Ijaw Youth Council stated this while speaking on Arise TV’s Morning Show on Tuesday monitored by our reporter in Lagos.
“President Ahmed Bola Tinubu becoming President, I should be able to tell him the truth and what is happening in Rivers State where President Tinubu is supporting Wike to destablize and disturb the peace of Rivers State. As a stakeholder in the state, I feel disappointed.
“For the President to allow his minister to run amok, procure judgment and all sorts, threatening the people of Rivers State because what they are trying to do is remove Fubara, thinking nothing will happen. And I am saying that if you remove Fubara, something will happen. And that is it,” he said.
