The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Governor Seyi Makinde has commiserated with the President, Sword of the Spirit Ministries who is also the President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria(PFN), Bishop Francis Wale Oke on the demise of his mother, late Mrs Elizabeth Areola Oke.
Speaking during his visit to the Bishop at home, the Governor expressed his condolences to the Bishop and the entire Oke family.
He thanked God that Mama lived a good and fulfilled life worthy of emulation before returning to her maker. He described the deceased as a blessed woman whose womb was privileged to birth great children, whose lives have impacted humanity positively, both within Nigeria and around the globe. He enjoined the Bishop and the rest of the family to take heart and give thanks to God for making Mama live to a ripe old age of 97years.
The Governor further used the opportunity to assure the Bishop and the generality of the Oyo State populace of his steadfast commitment to the welfare and development of the people of the State.
He said that he and his team had been working tirelessly to put in place a formidable foundation upon which Oyo State is gradually being built to become an economically developed and viable State in the nearest future.
In his response, Bishop Oke, on behalf of the family thanked the Governor for the honour of taking time out of his busy schedule to condole with him and his family on the loss of the Matriarch of the Oke family. He assured the Governor of continuous support and fervent prayer to God for his success and for the emergence of a credible and God- fearing successor, who will further take the State to greater heights.
