APC Chairman, Secretary Hold Media Chat Today

The top leadership of Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will engage directly with citizens this evening in a nationwide live media chat aimed at addressing critical national issues.

Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, National Chairman of the APC, and Sen. Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, the party’s National Secretary, are scheduled to participate in the broadcast, which airs from 8:00 p.m. on Channels Television, Arise News Television, and TVC.
The live programme will provide a platform for the duo to speak on key national matters, including governance priorities, the party’s direction, and strategies for the continued progress and stability of the nation. It forms part of the APC’s ongoing efforts to promote transparent engagement, public accountability, and sustained communication with Nigerians on issues shaping the country’s future and democratic governance.

The media chat comes barely weeks after the APC’s 8th National Convention in late March 2026, where Prof. Yilwatda and Sen. Basiru were returned to their positions through consensus, reinforcing the party’s leadership stability ahead of future electoral cycles.

Party officials described the engagement as a demonstration of the APC leadership’s commitment to open dialogue with the public. Members of the public, party faithful, stakeholders, and the media have been encouraged to tune in and contribute to what has been billed as an important national conversation.
