Uncommon show of unity and optimism erupted on last Saturday at a cross-party gathering of Benin’s political elite at the Oza Parliament as Dr Asue Ighodalo, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the September 21 governorship election, stole the show.
