BENIN CITY — The Edo State Coordinator of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Dr. Theodore Ehannire, has felicitated the Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa, on his 46th birthday, describing him as a dynamic and people-focused leader whose commitment to the wellbeing and advancement of Edo people remains commendable.
In a goodwill message on behalf of the NHIA in Edo State, Ehannire said Idahosa’s approach to public service reflects an understanding that the true measure of leadership lies not only in infrastructure and policies but also in the quality of life and welfare of the people.
He particularly commended the Deputy Governor’s demonstrated interest in strengthening access to healthcare and advancing initiatives that place the health and welfare of citizens at the centre of governance.
According to him, Idahosa’s support for health insurance coverage has underscored the importance of protecting vulnerable families from the financial burden associated with accessing essential medical care.
“Your Excellency has consistently demonstrated that leadership is about touching lives and creating opportunities for people to live healthier and more productive lives. Your commitment to the wellbeing of our people is worthy of commendation,” Ehannire stated.
The NHIA coordinator noted that investments in healthcare and human capital remained essential to the sustainable development of Edo State, stressing that a healthy population was indispensable to economic growth, productivity and social advancement.
He also commended Idahosa’s contributions to the development and advancement of Edo State, describing his leadership as one that combines public responsibility with concern for the people.
“Healthcare is not merely a social service; it is an investment in the people and in the future of our State. We appreciate Your Excellency’s recognition of this important responsibility and your support for initiatives that expand access to quality healthcare,” he said.
Ehannire prayed God to grant the Deputy Governor greater wisdom, strength, sound health and grace to continue serving Edo State and contributing meaningfully to its development.
