The Executive Governor of Oyo His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde, will be conferred with the prestigious Governor of the Year Award by the Leadership Newspapers on Tuesday March 5, 2024, the Peoples Democratic Party announced on its X account.
According to the post by the party, the award ceremony which is scheduled to take place at the Congress Hall of the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, will feature other prominent Nigerians who have served the country meritoriously in their chosen careers.
Governor Makinde’s nomination for this award was due to the massive projects executed by his administration in various sectors of the economy, between 2019 when he assumed power as Governor of the state till date.
According to the Newspaper, the quantum leap made by Oyo State under his leadership in the areas of economic growth as well as other excellent achievements across different sectors, stood him out among his peers for this award.
